Safety & Hazmat Readiness: Picks for Your Next Inspection
September 27, 2026
Safety inspections rarely fail on the big things. They fail on the small, visible gaps — a flammable container on an open shelf, a missing spill kit, a lockout procedure with no locks. This month we gathered the safety items buyers ask us for most when preparing a workshop, motor pool or clinic.
Each item links to its product page, where you can review specifications and request a quote.
Hazardous material storage
Hazardous material storage cabinet, 45 gal / 170 L
Our large hazardous material storage cabinet holds 45 gal (170 L), measures 900 × 520 × 1725 mm and is built from 1.2T steel plate with galvanized interior and shelves. For smaller spaces, a 6 gal (22 L) cabinet is available with the same construction at 450 × 400 × 700 mm.
Place cabinets close to where the materials are used and confirm the floor and delivery route can take the weight — the large cabinet alone weighs 146 kg empty.
The 10-gal metal oil rag safety can uses a foot-operated self-closing lid and is FM, UL and OSHA compliant — a simple fix for one of the most common workshop findings.
Spill response
PIG cart-style universal spill kit (KIT280)
The PIG multi-purpose cart-style spill kit (KIT280) keeps absorbents on wheels so they can reach a leak quickly. It measures 48.0" W × 41.7" H × 31.1" D and is sized for motor pools and loading areas.
Keep spill kits where fuel, oil or chemicals are transferred, and restock the contents after every use so the kit is complete the next time it is needed.
Lockout / tagout
Lockout/tagout kit with padlocks, hasps and valve lockouts
A complete lockout/tagout kit includes five keyed-alike steel shackle padlocks, nylon and steel hasps, gate and ball valve lockouts, cable lockouts, ten safety tags and a carry bag — everything needed to start or refresh an energy control program.
Keyed-alike padlocks let one authorized person control a group lockout, and the included safety tags are printed in Korean for local national workers on the team.
Personal protective equipment
For clinics, dining facilities and maintenance teams we stock several nitrile glove types, including blue nitrile gloves (0.33 mm / 13 mil, food safe, powder free) in sizes S to XL, and Level D disposable shoe covers.
